Many of you are familiar with the open riding track that Barney had near Hartford City. Barney allowed anyone to ride his course for many years only asking for donations. He was avid rider himself but time took its toll and Barney has since not be able to ride for some time now and moved off the land and into a rest home. We still honor Barney with a tradition that started many years ago. We call it the Barney Ride. We get permission from our neighbors to ride their woods surrounding our track on the north east edge and set up a course. Snow, rain, no matter the conditions it is always a fun middle of the off season ride.

Just like the old days at Barney's it is a pot luck type event with everyone bringing in something to eat. The club provides some of the basics and whatever we come up with for a soup (Chili or Chicken or both). We warm up in the Club house between our trips so you can sit and socialize with fellow riders you have not seen since end of season. Donations are taken for Barney, if you can help but if not just come out and enjoy yourself New Years Day... Starts around 9:00ish because it is not light out till about then. Hope to see you there.
